American Metal Market to Provide SFIA with Steel Price Forecasts

The Steel Framing Industry Association (SFIA) and the American Metal Market (AMM) have entered into a joint marketing agreement to provide SFIA members access to AMM forecasting information via the SFIA website’s “Members Only” section. As part of the arrangement the AMM will also offer special discounts to SFIA members for AMM information products and services.

SFIA Releases Technical Guide for Cold-Formed Steel Framing Products

The Steel Framing Industry Association, Falls Church, Va., has released “Technical Guide for Cold‐Formed Steel Framing Products,” a comprehensive guide that provides technical information for designing with cold‐formed steel framing members. The 110‐page book covers both structural and non‐structural applications. The guide begins with section properties of SFIA member product profiles, then provides complete load and span tables for most applications. Designers will find all the information they need to accomplish code compliant structural analysis.

What is SFIA?

The SFIA is the first and only all‐inclusive association focused on promotion, advocacy, education and innovation for the steel framing industry. The primary goal is to unify the industry to expand the market for cold‐formed steel framing.  Membership categories include steel mills, coil coaters, processors, roll‐formers, fabricators, engineers, material distributors; all the way through and including the end‐user, the framing contractors.
